Wonderland Nature School

Background

Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds worked with the team at Wonderland Nature School to create a sensory-rich outdoor learning environment for their childcare space.

Located in Gunnison, Colorado this small preschool is adjacent to a senior center providing meaningful collaboration opportunities between the generations. The outdoor space is divided into two areas; one for infants and one or preschoolers. Bienenstock renovated the space to provide two fine motor sand areas, decking with creative panels for imaginative play, and wacky posts for fort building. Care was taken to ensure minimal impact to the existing tree.
