Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds worked with the team at WindReach Farm to create a sensory-rich, truly accessible natural outdoor playspace for young and old alike.

WindReach Farm provides an accessible farm environment to provide therapeutic programs to people of all needs. The farm offers learning and experiential opportunities, with the goal of engaging with participants in order to strengthen skills, independence, and physical well-being in a safe and nurturing environment.

Rich with development opportunities, the space features an accessible log-chute slide built atop a gently sloping pinnacle. A log mash play system complete with a climbing net, bocce court, outdoor classroom and accessible horizontal log borders completes the sensory-rich landscape. Here, children are able to focus on process-based tasks without a prescriptive result. The addition of border elements such as our log clusters provides opportunities for motor planning and proprioceptive, vestibular and kinaesthetic stimulus.
