Montcrest Private School

Overview:

Tucked in a residential neighbourhood in the Danforth area of Toronto, Montcrest Private School’s natural playground serves students from JK to grade 8.

On a parcel that was comprised of a series of houses and land purchases over a 50 year span, Bienenstock developed the masterplan to connect all aspects of the school curriculum to the land through the development of a cohesive series of nature play zones. Throughout the process, every student, teacher, and parent was consulted for input. The result was an expansive natural playspace that incorporated improved circulation and programming as well as sports fields that transformed the Montcrest campus.
