Overview:
Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds worked with the team at Community Montessori School to create a sensory-rich outdoor learning environment for their childcare space.
Background
Community Montessori School offers education from birth through 18 years old. After an inventory of current outdoor play, it was determined that the five to twelve-year-olds were lacking compared to the other age groups. Bienenstock transformed their dilapidated play space into a world of natural discovery while solving significant drainage issues. Places of mastery were created for various learning styles including a sensory barefoot path, multi-user swing, fine motor sand play, fort building area, open play field, large non-prescriptive climber, and more. AML Construction provided all of the build services.
