Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds worked with the team at Brightpath CrossPoint Child Care Centre to create a sensory-rich outdoor learning environment for their child care space. The West Seneca BrightPath, previously known as EduKids is proud to be the only NAEYC Accredited child care center in town. Their new outdoor space is chalk-full of sensory engagement opportunities. The layout at CrossPoint consists of two separate nature play zones. The first consists of a hill slide, horizontal log border and great border features like our log tunnel in and amongst durable plantings. There are log carved chairs in the quiet, contemplative zone as well as wacky posts for fort building and balance play. Both zones include wall-mounted chalkboards and mud kitchens in their “learning” zones and are sure to provide endless engagement and development opportunities for the children at Brightpath West Seneca.
