ACW Child Care - Glenridge

Overview:

The challenge we focused on with this project was the combination of limited space and maintaining the mature trees already on-site on that were provided much needed shade for the property. Through the playground design and construction process we were able to carefully work around the Honey Locust trees to create a variety of play spaces, interesting circulation loops and more plant material – resulting in a significant increase in rich sensory experiences. The Glenridge location offers a delightful mix of sensory engagement, creative & social development opportunities, fine and gross motor challenges and a host of child-led unstructured play components. This campus us highlighted by its large sand & water play area, mud kitchen, curriculum cabinets and natural instrument section. The children here are constantly engaged and the educators at ACW child care couldn’t be happier.
