Caring for the Commons

COSA: 2026 Colorado Open Space Alliance Conference

October 4 to 7, 2026

2026 Colorado Open Space Alliance Conference

The 2026 Colorado Open Space Alliance Conference, taking place October 4 to 7 in Crested Butte, brings together open-space professionals to exchange ideas about environmental education, outdoor accessibility, public engagement, recreation management, and the stewardship of shared public lands. This year’s theme, “Caring for the Commons,” closely connects with Bienenstock Playgrounds’ work creating inclusive outdoor play and learning spaces that strengthen children’s relationships with the outdoors. Through thoughtful planning, accessible design, sensory play, and hands-on learning opportunities, we help municipalities, parks, and community organizations create welcoming public spaces that support active play, environmental awareness, and meaningful community connections.

Attending the 2026 Colorado Open Space Alliance Conference?

Visit Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds in the Plaza Pre-Function area of the Elevation Hotel & Spa. Bring your questions or ideas for a park or public play space, and talk with our team about how thoughtful design can give children more ways to play outdoors.

Stop by the Bienenstock table to meet our CEO, John El-Raheb, and Sr. Landscape Architect, Shane Brown and chat about your upcoming projects. You can also book time in advance if you’d like a dedicated conversation.

We’d love to meet you in Crested Butte!
